Today, the Dallas Police Association (DPA) endorsed Acting Comptroller Kelly Hancock for Texas Comptroller.

“For years, Acting Comptroller Hancock has been a strong advocate for public safety and a steadfast supporter of the men and women who put their lives on the line every day to protect our communities,” said Jaime Castro, President of DPA. “His record in the Legislature reflects a deep commitment to ensuring law enforcement officers have the tools, training, and resources needed to do their jobs safely and effectively. As Comptroller, Kelly Hancock has continued to demonstrate the same integrity, fiscal responsibility, and respect for law enforcement that have defined his public service. He understands that safe neighborhoods are the foundation of a thriving Texas, and he has consistently backed policies that protect both our families and the officers who serve them.”

“I’m proud to be endorsed by the Dallas Police Association,” said Acting Comptroller Kelly Hancock. “I’ve always stood with law enforcement because Texas prosperity depends on public safety. I’m deeply grateful for the brave men and women in uniform who keep the city of Dallas – and other communities around this state – safe every day.”

Founded in 1959, the DPA is the oldest and largest police employee organization in Dallas with over 4,000 active and retired members.
