October 17, 2025

Today, the Cattle Raisers PAC of the Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association endorsed Acting Comptroller Kelly Hancock for Texas Comptroller.

“Comptroller Hancock has a proven record representing the values important to cattle raisers and landowners during his time in the Texas Senate and Texas House,” said Cattle Raisers PAC Co-chair, Carl Ray Polk Jr. “For 20 years, he has represented his districts with an integrity that speaks not only to his legislative history but his character, and we believe our members and all of Texas agriculture will be well represented.”

“I’m grateful for the support of the Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association and landowners across our state,” said Acting Comptroller Kelly Hancock. “Cattle ranching is at the heart of Texas history and remains vital to our economy today. As Comptroller, I’ll continue supporting policies that allow ranchers to thrive, protect private property rights, and keep Texas agriculture strong for generations to come.”

The Cattle Raisers PAC raises funds from TSCRA members and uses them to support candidates who support cattle producers, private property rights and natural resource management. TSCRA is comprised of cattle producers, operators, and businesses of all sizes, all of whom are dedicated to the betterment of the industry. The association was founded in 1877 by 40 cattlemen who wanted to end unbridled livestock theft; it is the largest and oldest livestock association in Texas and among the oldest in the U.S.
