District Update: Please Join Us

September 1, 2015

Dear Friends,

August marks two months since the 84th Legislative Session concluded, and it’s good to be home.

On July 1st, Sen. Hancock joined with local officials to celebrate Arlington Urban Ministries as the organization distributed its MILLIONTH pound of food for those in need.

Throughout the summer, I’ve been honored to speak with a number of groups in Senate District 9 and review key legislation passed this session – historic tax relief, stronger border security laws, and a fiscally conservative budget, to name a few.

It’s fair to say the 84th session was a success for conservatives and the principles we cherish here in Texas.

Sadly, this summer is another story. Conservative values are being challenged in new ways throughout our state and our nation.

I’m privileged to serve as Chairman of the Texas Senate Republican Caucus and would like to share with you our members’ joint statements on the recent U.S. Supreme Court marriage decision as well as the ethically indefensible practices of Planned Parenthood.

Now, more than ever, it is important for all of us to stay engaged in our community.

Robin and I, along with our Senate team, would like to invite you to a come-and-go Open House at your state office here in North Richland Hills. We hope to see you there to visit about the issues that matter most to you and discuss ways we can continue to support our community and state.
