Kelly Hancock made the following announcement after Senate District 9 voters chose him as their new State Senator:

“A heartfelt thank you to the voters in Senate District 9. You can be sure I will continue working hard to be an effective voice for you in our State’s Capitol. I will take our values to the State Senate, so we can create more jobs, keep the budget balanced without increasing taxes, and protect our individual freedoms,” Hancock said. “I also want to acknowledge the many volunteers, friends, and my family whose efforts allowed us to cross the finish line strong. And finally, a special thanks to my wife, Robin, and our kids for everything they have done throughout this journey.”

Hancock was first elected to the Texas House in 2006, and is Chairman of the Republican Caucus Policy Committee. Prior to his service in the Texas Legislature, Hancock spent 13 years on the Birdville ISD School Board. He owns Advanced Chemical Logistics, his family-founded company. Kelly and his wife, Robin, have been married 25 years and have three children.
