Senate candidate, Rep. Kelly Hancock, is well prepared for the upcoming Senate race, regardless of which local Senate District the courts finally place him. According to finance reports filed Tuesday with the Texas Ethics Commission, Hancock has nearly $650,000 on hand.

The 2012 Texas primaries are more than four months away, but the next two weeks could have a major impact on how some of those races play out.

Lawsuits over the political maps that Texas lawmakers passed this year and that Gov. Rick Perry signed into law are scheduled to move forward, with the outcomes potentially influencing the political futures of Democrats and Republicans statewide.

Texans for Fiscal Responsibility endorsed Kelly Hancock for State Senate District 10 today. Below is their press release:

Senate candidate and state Rep. Kelly Hancock moved the needle today in his effort to replace incumbent Senator Wendy Davis in the newly drawn Senate District 10.

Former Fort Worth Mayor Bob Bolen formally announced his support for Hancock saying, “Kelly Hancock is a young energetic man with experience. With so many key Senate retirements, there is a huge demand for new leadership. We need new, young, energetic, intelligent people like Kelly Hancock. I am proud to support him,” said Bolen.

Former Fort Worth Mayor Bob Bolen today endorsed State Representative Kelly Hancock in the election for Texas State Senate, District 10.

“Mayor Bolen has been one of the most sought after Fort Worth endorsements for more than 20 years,” said Hancock. “I cannot fully express how honored I am to have his support.”

Tarrant County State Representative Kelly Hancock today announced he will seek the Republican nomination for Texas State Senate District 10 in Tarrant County.

Hancock, elected to the Texas House in 2006, is Chairman of the Republican Caucus Policy Committee. Hancock is known for his conservative values and dedicated service to his constituents.
